Not only does Leah have great ideas, fabulous taste, more energy than anyone we know and the list goes on. To top it all off she is super FUNNY! One day I could publish the emails and texts that Leah sends and make millions of dollars

We had the absolute pleasure of attending the clinic open house a couple of weeks ago. The design touches in the clinic are so clever. From quirky words and funny sayings running the length of the walls, to a full wall or circles waiting room, to canvas’ with the logo elements on them.  Plus one of the nicest most talented teams on the planet.

In the sea of window displays, roofing exhibits, gutter companies and cleaning products that make up the average home and garden tradeshow how do you catch people’s attention and draw them in? You use a big dog of course

Every little bit helps…

On Friday Christie and I solemnly browsed through some of the photo galleries on msn.ca of the horrible situation in Haiti. We were of course shocked and heartbroken. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti and the support workers from around the world who are trying to rescue and repair the damaged country. We were happy to hear of all of the great things that Canada is doing to help financially and in terms of human resources, food and aid. The Canadian Government has pledged to match all donations to reputable charities that are made between Jan 12th and Feb 12th. Go Canada!

Fresh Marketing donated to Doctors without borders as the recent word on the news at least is that there is huge need for surgeons to perform amputations and life savings surgeries to the huge numbers of people that have been without medical aid for almost a week now. 

Doctors without Borders Canada has an on the ground presence already established in Haiti and are now working around the clock to provide life saving medical aid.

A New Website for Debi Mackinnon

Debi Mackinnon is a one of a kind, amazing client who came to us in need of a new website. Frankly her old site was drab and in no way matched her vibrant, fabulous personality and work. Debi Mackinnon is a Vancouver Artist who loves to work within the worlds of gardenscapes, treescapes, and still lifes, incorporating her unique talents by combining fabulous colour with an incredible emotional sense in each piece she paints.

Debi has wowed us. Christie and I love her art work and also the positive energy she has brought to each meeting we have had with her. We created a new website for her that shows off her work, her personality and we hope you will agree this new site is in no way drab.

About Debi Mackinnon

Colour — vibrant, gorgeous colour, and Texture — layer, upon layer upon layer, are key components in Debi’s acrylic canvases. Her large, brilliant works create tactile experiences and visual sensations, luring the viewer far beyond the surfaces of her canvases.

Debi’s ability to create and combine colour, paired with her innate sense of movement and flow, have contributed to her rapid rise in the art world. In March 2005, she made her first gallery appearance; her solo show sold out allowing her to immerse herself in her passion for painting. Her work is now internationally recognized and resides in private collections from England, Japan, and the United States, to cities across Canada.

A favoured response to her art from collectors is the constant amazement that the works they own always change and new layers continuously emerge. While the artist’s work may initially appear beautiful yet obvious, on closer examination, it is realized to be complicated, pushing colour and texture to the edge.

I started off today at the photoshoot for one of our fave client’s very fancy show dogs. This stunner will be featured in an upcoming champion dog calendar. David our fab Fresh Marketing photographer took a number of amazing shots, this is one of my most loved.
