On Friday Christie and I solemnly browsed through some of the photo galleries on msn.ca of the horrible situation in Haiti. We were of course shocked and heartbroken. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti and the support workers from around the world who are trying to rescue and repair the damaged country. We were happy to hear of all of the great things that Canada is doing to help financially and in terms of human resources, food and aid. The Canadian Government has pledged to match all donations to reputable charities that are made between Jan 12th and Feb 12th. Go Canada!
Fresh Marketing donated to Doctors without borders as the recent word on the news at least is that there is huge need for surgeons to perform amputations and life savings surgeries to the huge numbers of people that have been without medical aid for almost a week now.
Doctors without Borders Canada has an on the ground presence already established in Haiti and are now working around the clock to provide life saving medical aid.
